Frosted Floral DSP

This paper.  OMG.  It is soooo gorgeous. This picture just does not do it justice.  It is by far my favorite Stampin' Up paper ever.  This was a super easy card that I put together in about 10 minutes or less, and you can do it too.  Even if you don't have the exact supplies that I do, you can mimic the basic design of the card using whatever you have around your craft space.  Here are the dimensions and supplies for the card:

  • Smokey Slate card base
  • Tranquil Tide card stock, 5.25" x 4"
  • Frosted Floral DSP, 5" x 3.75"
  • Tranquil Tide strip, 1" x 3.75"
  • Smoky Slate strip, .5" x 3.75"
  • 2-inch circle punch
  • 1.75 - inch circle punch
  • Pearlized doiley
  • All Things Thanks stamp set
  • Tranquil Tide stamp pad
  • Adhesive
  • Stampin Dimensionals

Blissful Blooms Alternative

I did an earlier entry about our August 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit, Blissful Blooms.  You may have seen it (if not, scroll down a little bit, and I bet you'll find it!)  Anyway, once all the elements are used up in the kits, you still have the stamp set right? And of course you'll want to figure out different ways to use it.  Well, I discovered a really neat technique that has been around for a while, sometimes called 'stamping in the round' or 'wreath stamping.' I personally think THIS card might be prettier than those that were designed for the kit, but hey, I'm biased!

Here are the supplies I used (in addition to the stamp set included in the Blissful Blooms Paper Pumpkin kit):

  • Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base
  • Layering Squares Big Shot Framelits (I used the largest one in the set)
  • Big Shot die cutting machine
  • Blackberry Bliss card stock 3" x 3" square
  • Whisper White card stock (cut using the Layering Squares Framelits, using the biggest one as before)
  • 5.5" x 5.5" scrap of card stock, any color, to make template (see video for instructions)
  • Melon Mambo Ink
  • Pineapple Punch Ink
  • Scrap of Old Olive card stock for punching leaves
  • Scrap of Gold Glimmer paper for punching leaves
  • Leaf Punch
  • Classic Label Punch

Spooky Cat Card

Here's a quick and easy card to make for Halloween using the Stampin' Up cat punch and few other basic supplies.  These would be great to make if you needed to have a bunch of cards but didn't have a lot of time to spare, or maybe you don't have a ton of supplies at your disposal.  The supplies used and measurements are below, and complete instructions can be seen in the tutorial above:

  • Thick Whisper White card stock for card base
  • Basic Black card stock, 4" x 5.25
  • Daffodil Delight card stock, cut into a 2 7/8 circle (using the largest circle die from the Layering Circles framelit die set)
  • Layering Circles Framelit dies
  • Daffodil Delight card stock, 4" x 1/2"
  • Dazzling Diamonds Shimmer Paper, 4" x 3/4"
  • Daffodil Delight Dark Stampin' Blend Pen
  • Labels to Love Stamp Set
